Justin Flynn

Originally from upstate New York, Justin Flynn currently lives in Brooklyn. Mr. Flynn received a bachelor of musical arts degree and a bachelor of arts (Modern Language) from the University of Michigan, and went on to receive a Master's in Music from the Eastman School of Music.
 
As a professional Saxophonist, he has performed with a variety of groups ranging from the big bands of Toshilo Akiyoshi and Bill Mobley, to small groups like singer Lea Delaria, and the Whitney Ashe sextet. In addition to writing music for his own groups, which include a quintet and a sextet, Mr. Flynn has also composed and arranged music for groups as large as a studio orchestra, and as small as a string trio, and for venues ranging from movies to Rolling Stone Magazine.
 
As a performer, Mr. Flynn has performed with music greats including Benny Golson, Vincent Herrring, Dave Liebman, Kenny Werner, Marian McPartland, The NYC Ballet, Rueben Rada, R&B Star Lou Rawls, and Motown Legends the Temptations. He has recorded with some of New York's great Jazz Musicians including Joe Locke, Jim Rotondi, and Darrell Grant. Mr. Flynn plans to release a new record in the coming year.
