The Broken Reed Saxophone Quartet (BRSQ) will be performing at the Brooklyn Lyceum on Wednesday May 19th at 8 pm. On the program are Brazilian arrangements by Renato Goulart and Charley Gerard's "Goodbye, Don," his memorial to his late lifetime friend Don Schott. But wait - there's more! Sharing the performance will be Compared to That, a big band offshoot of the BRSQ that will be making its debut. Musicians: Charley Gerard, Jeff Newell, Lily White, Jenny Hill, Alden Banta, Tom Olin and Chris Bacas, saxophones; Ben Holmes, Andy Gravish and Dave Smith, trumpets; J.C. Sanford, Barry Cooper and Ben Oatmen, trombones; Mike Bagetta, guitar; Aidan O'Donnell, bass; and Brian Woodruff, drums.
